LKP Throwback: “Robin In Wyoming Storm Of The Century” – April 9, 2013

This photo of this beautiful Robin was one of the first photos I took with my first Nikon camera in April of 2013. He/She was weathering the storm out on a Radiant Crab Apple tree that sits in our front yard…..and also taking advantage of eating all the berries from it that were left over from the Fall. It’s precious when you think about how God and the powers that be have a way of always taking care of everyone and every living thing …no matter the storm. #BirdsNeedFedInWiinterToo #NeverForgetToFeedTheBirds

“The Garden Of The World Has No Limits Except What Is In Your Mind”

This may look like a clump of weeds to some, but, to others, this is one of Wyoming’s most beautiful and finest wildflowers. In the Spring, our country sides are filled with it turning hills and prairies into purple and blue…and sometimes even white. Here’s to the precious and magnificent “Wyoming Lupine”.

“The Ache For Home Lives In All Of Us. It’s Our Safe Place Where We Can Go As We Are” ~Maya Angelou

I did a photo shoot recently for Wagon West Realty at this sweet location. I couldn’t get enough of this front door and how the owners decorated and landscaped all around it. Also, the lighting from the sunset couldn’t have been more spectacular. Once again, I was reminded of our creator and just how beautiful he can help paint everything with his light.

“When Winter Calls The Heart”

On January 1st, 2021,  my hubby and I traveled to Pinedale, Wyoming. We thought it would be a cool way to celebrate the new year and work on a new Wyoming Winter Lake portfolio idea that I had. My first photo opportunity was this beautiful and serene section of Pine Creek (pictured above). Little did we know that a few hours later after spending a little time in this area that my husband would have a heart attack and life and our plans would change in a literal heartbeat. He was flown to Casper, Wyoming where an awesome team of Cardiologists saved his life by putting in 9 stents on two different days. Since that time, my hubby has had his ups and downs on his recovery, but, not once has he ever gave up. I call him a “walking miracle”. All I know is  every single day is a blessing we cherish and we thank God, his Angels, the doctors, and  our family and friends for being there every step of the way of this journey. With that said, I dedicate this photo, “When Winter Calls The Heart”, to my hubby, Brian S. Collar, for never giving up and once again, showing me and the world to always stay strong, fight, and never let anyone and anything convince you differently.

“The Secret Paths Of Water” – Photo Dedication to “Memoirs Of A Geisha”

One of my favorite novels is “Memoirs Of A Geisha“. It’s about a woman, Nitta Sayuri, who endures the worst conditions in her life from being sold into slavery at a very young age to becoming a Geisha. Through out her haunting story, she speaks with a wisdom of compassion and love and how she endures all of her hardships. One attribute for why Sayuri is able to overcome might be because she is said to have a lot of “water” in her personality. In light of this, the book is filled with the most beautiful and moving “water” quotes which have always stuck with me. So, this photo above (taken in the Black Hills National Forest of South Dakota) I dedicate to the element of “water”, Nitta Sayuri and her journey, and “Memoirs Of A Geisha”.

“Those of us with water in our personalities don’t pick where we’ll flow to. All we can do is flow where the landscape of our lives carries us.” More quotes…. Continue reading ““The Secret Paths Of Water” – Photo Dedication to “Memoirs Of A Geisha””

“Where Spring Blooms, There Is Hope”

Happy First Day Of Spring 2020, Everyone! With a hard winter and hard health challenges facing mankind this year with Coronavirus Covid-19, it’s been challenging at times to believe there is “hope” for better tomorrows and better seasons. However, “nature” and a bigger power tells us differently. In all of their wonder, they shoot out messages to us every day if we only stop, look more closely, and listen. With that said, take comfort in this beautiful passage and never give up…
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” ~Romans 12:12
